It’s been a long Summer - longer than I expected. 🏖️
Yes, I took a break from content creation on YouTube and sending this newsletter.
The primary reason was that I was busy recording new modules for my C# and .NET Bootcamp on Zero To Mastery.
However, I will talk about that another time.
I have over 100 videos on my channel, and I’m in my 6th year. We’re closing in on 20k subscribers soon. 🎉
There are so many developers who listen to me and learn about .NET - brilliant! 🍾
Don’t get me wrong, I still have a lot of passion for teaching and recording videos. However, at some point, I need to make it sustainable.
In the following months, I will try to figure out what I can provide you and other .NET developers worth your hard-earned money in exchange. 👨🏭
I don’t want to sell crappy products. I want to provide more than I take.

Today, I just published an overview video on .NET 9, in which I explain the most important new features of .NET 9. 🔥
.NET 9 will be released on November 12th, 2024 during .NET Conf 2024. 🚀
There are less than three weeks left until the release of .NET 9, the next short-term support (STS) release.
On the same day, support for .NET 6 will end!
It’s finally time to upgrade to .NET 8 (LTS) or .NET 9 (STS).
I will talk to you with more information about .NET 9 in the coming weeks.

JetBrains Rider & Webstorm Free for Non-Commercial Use
While typing this newsletter, I received the news that JetBrains Rider & Webstorm are now free for non-commercial use.
I personally prefer Visual Studio over JetBrains Rider for C# development, but I have to admit I haven’t spent too much time with it.
With another tool available for free (for educational and non-commercial use), C# and .NET become even more accessible, which is great news. 💪
